Senior .NET Developer – C#, Asp.net, Ms Sql Server
The Company
International company urgently requires a Senior .Net Developer for its offices in Cranfield, Bedfordshire. They have a unique approach to working with customers and delivering software that significantly impacts their business.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing, supporting and maintaining the company’s client facing web applications, windows applications and internal applications and other development activities and initiatives. Endeavour to help the company achieve and maintain the best applications in the industry. Design and build solutions from conception to delivery, whilst being flexible and having a can-do mentality.
You will design, code, debug, document, and maintain customer facing web applications and sites. You will work closely with all members of the development and support teams, including project management and technical support.
You will develop and extend Web and WinForms solutions utilising C#, ASP.NET and MS SQL Server. You will work independently with little supervision and as part of a team. Gather requirements and manage expectations, whilst maintaining application and coding standards.
Required Skills
• A BSc Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be autonomous and proactive in solving problems.
• Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment, and be a highly organized individual with the ability to multi-task and have a high attention to detail.
• A proven delivery record and with a delivery focus.
• Strong analytic skills, strategic vision, and logical approach to problem solving.
• Expert level C#.NET and ASP.NET in the delivery of internet based web applications.
• Good knowledge and experience of developing WinForm applications.
• Strong Transact SQL skills and experience of programming complex Stored Procedures.
• Professional experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience of programming with JavaScript, using AJAX and JSON.
• Experience working with Internet Information Services involving permissions, creating/maintaining web sites and virtual directories.
Preferred Skills
• Strong HTML/XHTML and CSS skills.
• Experience of mentoring team members.
Experience
• Over 4 years of experience developing .Net applications, for a range of clients.
• Worked with development life cycle methodologies (Waterfall, Rapid-Prototype, Agile, etc.).
